Manuel Ramos performs at CSC

St. Maur Hall is usually used for classes, conferences and prayer. However, on September 26, it became a world class recital hall. Accomplished violinist, Manuel Ramos visited Conception and performed for CSC students, monks of Conception Abbey and other members of the community. Ramos was accompanied on the piano by Vera Parkin.

Originally from Mexico, Ramos has traveled the globe playing with orchestras as well as solo concerts. Since 1976 he has been associated with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. He has also won multiple violin competitions including the Manuel M. Ponce Competition in Mexico City and the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition in Sion, Switzerland
