An Invitation to Holy Week – by Ben Snyder

Come, let us join Mary at the feet of Christ. Let us not count the cost of our love. Let us run to our Lord for the days are coming when we re-enter the horrors of the Passion. For now, let us take the ointment from our fasting and prayer this season and offer it freely to our Lord. Cherish this last week…day…or moment with Him. Let the fragrance from the ointment of love nourish and fill your heart and soul for the coming days. Offer your ointment with all the love and simplicity of a child. The sweet simplicity of these little acts done out of pure love gladden the Heart of Christ more than the empty words of the world that speak out of greed. So do not fear the world. Draw close to Christ in these final days of Lent.
