Seminary Fall 2025 Events
Open House
The fifth annual Seminary Open House was a source of joy and fellowship as the seminary monks and seminarians hosted donors and friends under a big white tent outside. More than 250 people came together for Sunday Mass and lunch on August 24.
Weston Warner, seminarian, and Dr. Jonathan Fuqua, philosophy professor, shared their experiences at Conception Seminary College with the guests, and the seminary administration shared updates and prayed with the group. Guests were invited on a tour of the recently built seminary dormitory and enjoy live music performed by a group of seminarians. This annual event has become a great way to begin the academic year and for donors to get to know the seminarians they pray for and support.
Alumni Reunion

This year’s Alumni Reunion, September 8-9, was well attended by alumni of all ages and vocations. Highlights of this year’s event included a panel discussion of seminarians, a talk given by Fr. Binh Quach, C.SSp., Mass and a banquet. The annual board meeting and tours of Good Shepherd Hall and St. Maur Hall rounded out the two-day reunion.
Fr. Binh Quach (C 1987) received the Distinguished Alumnus Award for his international ministry and gave a talk sharing his story and lessons he has learned throughout life. Next year’s reunion is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, September 14-15, 2026. We invite classes celebrating anniversaries to plan now.
Thunder Cup
The Sons of Thunder (Conception Seminary College) hosted the Thunder Cup tournament in mid-October. Five seminary teams competed in thrilling volleyball, soccer, and spikeball tournaments.
Conception hosted more than 100 seminarians from St. Gregory the Great in Seward, Nebraska; St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado; Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska; and Mundelein Seminary (University of St. Mary of the Lake) in Mundelein, Illinois.
PFP Day of Giving

The PFP (Partnering for Future Priests) Day of Giving proved successful once again. Donors, organizations, and sponsors came together to raise more than $140,000 in support of Conception Seminary College’s mission. With the theme of “Pilgrims of Hope,” nearly 200 friends generously responded to the call to give. This online day of giving began in 2020 and has continued to grow year after year.
