Library Donations
The Conception Abbey / Seminary Library will not be accepting donated books. We would suggest friends and patrons with books to donate look to the following organizations:
- Your local public library: Many public libraries large and small hold annual or semi-annual book sales to help their patrons obtain good books at discounted prices. Call your local library to see if books you would like to donate might fit their needs.
- Congregational / parish rummage sales: Churches often hold annual rummage sales which may include offering good books at discount prices. As fewer and fewer independent / local bookstores exist, donations to your parish or congregation might allow these churches to share good books with congregants and friends of the congregation.
- AIM-USA: Benedictine and Cistercian monasteries of women and men provide assistance to monastic communities in the global South. These missionary monasteries are interested in books in English. Desired topics include Scripture, theology, spirituality and monastic studies. If books you wish to donate fall under these categories, you can mail them to
