Favorite Memory from your time at Conception Seminary College?

During May Day of my Junior year, all the students were out on the field for the last activity. After playing all day in the rain, the sun broke through the clouds and a rainbow appeared as we all prayed our closing prayer, laughed and hugged one another, and proceeded to throw a few people into Marian Locke. It was a wonderful experience of brotherhood founded upon the love of Christ.

Favorite course you took at CSC?

Metaphysics with Dr. Stilley

What will you miss the most CSC?

The fraternity here at Conception has shown me how to be a true brother and friend in Christ. It is this community of brother seminarians, monks, and others working together in love that I will miss the most. This community has shown me the love of Christ, and I will always be grateful for all my brothers who have journeyed with me and taught me true friendship.

Favorite Sacred Scripture passage?

Therefore say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord GOD: Not for your sake do I act, house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you desecrated among the nations to which you came. But I will show the holiness of my great name, desecrated among the nations, in whose midst you desecrated it. Then the nations shall know that I am the LORD—oracle of the Lord GOD—when through you I show my holiness before their very eyes. I will take you away from among the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you back to your own soil.I will sprinkle clean water over you to make you clean; from all your impurities and from all your idols I will cleanse you. I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you so that you walk in my statutes, observe my ordinances, and keep them. You will live in the land I gave to your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God. (Ezekiel 36: 22-28)

What did you learn most while at CSC?

Self-knowledge has been the most freeing and beautiful gift that has been given to me here at CSC. Studying philosophy, the love of wisdom, has also been a gift. Coming to realize that there is more to the world than what meets the eye and that knowledge is beautiful for its own sake has led me to more actively seek for The Truth, who is Jesus Christ.

Words of wisdom?

The last four years of my life here at CSC have been very busy… but extremely simple. Looking back, it has all been a schooling in love. Loving self, loving others, and loving Christ. Let yourself be loved, and all the rest will take care of itself.

Patron Saints?

St. Anthony of Padua

Any words to offer about those that helped in your formation at CSC?

Thank you for challenging me to be true to myself. Through your guidance, I have come to know who I am, accept what I have found, and I have been shown how to give of my true self in love.

Favorite hour of the Divine Office?

Office of Readings. Rising early in the morning to meditate and praise God through the psalms sets the tone for the whole day.
